'The natural history and scientific instrument collections
from the Macleay museum have inspired me to assemble a collection of works in
metal, wax and found objects.' Specimen's 1 – 5 are a collection of hybrid and
surreal forms that have come about through a process of dissecting the
morphology on offer at the museum. The forms are credible but artificial and
cross boundaries of classification. My intention has been to encourage
the viewer to engage in the anatomy on display at the museum'.©
